TASK 1.

Phần thi này gồm có 03 câu - Mỗi câu trả lời trong vòng 30s.

1. Do you have a large/huge family?

(Bạn có thể chọn trả lời theo 1 trong 2 cách: Yes / No). Ví dụ:

1. No, I don’t have a large family. Let me tell you about my family. There are four members in my family including my father, my mother, my brother and me. My mother is 45 years old. She is a doctor. My father is 46 years old. He works at a hospital. On the weekend, we often watch films together. I love my family so much. I think people should spend more time with their family. I love my family. (80 từ, nói mất 40s à giảm bớt)
2. Yes, I have a large family with 3 Generations including my grandparents, my parents, my wife, 2 my children and me. My grandparents, my parents retired, my wife and I are doctors, and my kids are students/pupils.
3. Tell me about the place you live in.

Let me tell you about where I live.

I live in Hanoi which is a large and beautiful city in Vietnam (Ở đâu?). It is a place with friendly and kind people (Như thế nào). There is a mall called “Capital City” with a lot of beautiful landscapes (Ở đó có gì đặc biệt). I like where I live (tình cảm, cảm xúc của bạn với nơi đó).

3. What’s your favorite season ? Why ?

Let me tell you about ...

I love spring because the weather is very nice. It is not too hot or not too cold. I can go out in the morning and at night. I can play outside with my children.

TASK 2: (Nói về 1 bức tranh và chủ đề liên quan đến bức tranh)

Phần này có 03 câu hỏi. Mỗi câu trả lời trong vòng 45s.

1. Please describe this picture.

4 details: what/who, How many?, dress/appearances (size, colors…), context (places), feelings.

In this picture I can see a couple on their wedding day (Miêu tả chung). The bride is wearing a white wedding dress and the bridegroom is wearing a black and white suit. They are having their wedding photos taken at a beach. (miêu tả chi tiết) They look very happy. (Cảm nhận chung)

2. When did you last attend a wedding?

(Chú ý, hỏi thì động từ nào --> trả lời theo thì đó)

I attended a wedding a year ago. I went to my sister’s wedding. I wore a black dress and golden shoes. The wedding was held at a hotel/a castle. I ate rice and beef and danced with my friends.

3. Why are graduation/weddings important to the families involved?

Weddings are important because it is a day to see all of my family together. When two people get married their families join together. The families are happy for the bride and bridegroom. It is an important day to say ‘congratulations’ to the married couple.

TASK 3: (Nói về 2 bức tranh và chủ đề liên quan đến bức tranh, có so sánh, đối chiếu). Phần này có 03 câu hỏi. Mỗi câu trả lời trong 45s.

1. Tell me what you see in the two pictures.

In the first picture I can see some people are working on a field. They are cutting the plants/rice by hand. They are farmers. They are wearing wide hats and thick clothing to avoid the sun.

In the second picture, there is/(there are) a big machine cutting the plants. I think/guess this is an example of modern day farming.

I think 2 pictures are described the same work but different ways of tradition and modern to cut plants/harvest the plants/rice.

2. What would it be like to work on these two farms?

In this first farm it would be difficult to work there. The farmers are working by hand, so it would take a long time to complete the work. It would also be hard because the farmers are always bending over so they would get a lot of back pain.

In the second farm it would be easy to work there. The farmer uses a machine so it would be faster. It would also be good for making more money.

3. Which method of farming is better for the community?

I think/believe the second method of farming is better for the community. It takes a short time, they don’t need many employees and it is easier for their bodies.

TASK 4 (Nói về 01 chủ đề nào đó trong vòng 04 phút)

1. Tell me about a time you went on a long journey.
   2. How did you feel about it?
   3. How do people travel long distances in your country?

1. I went on a long journey last year/month/week.

(Nói về chuyến  đi: (When - Lúc nào? Where - Đi đâu? How - Đi bằng phương tiện gì? Thông tin thêm: phương tiện đó như thế nào, mất bao lâu thời gian)

- I went to Sapa for 1 month.
- I went Sapa by bus/car. It took 12 hours.
- I went to Laocai by car/bus. It took 3 hours.

2. How did you feel about it?

I was very tired after the long trip. But I couldn’t take a plane or car because it was very expensive and there were no seats available. I also am afraid of flying/motion sickness.

3. How do people travel long distances in your country?

In Sapa, if people want to have long trip/journey, people can take a car, a bus or they travel by plane. Nowadays there are high speed trains.
